This is a really picturesque spot, set in a protected park and on a classic crescent shaped beach. It is suitable for kitesurfers and windsurfers of all ability levels.
The beach consists of hard packed sand and is an excellent surface. It is quite a big size and there is still plenty of room even at the busiest time of year, December and January. Water temperatures range from about 13° C in winter to a high of about 23° C in summer.
This area has good conditions all year round, but the very best time to be here is in July or August when you get a south or south-west wind blowing at 25 knots or so. For the rest of the year, the speed will be between about 15 and 25 knots. The water is usually quite choppy, but there is a flat water section that appears close to shore when the water is at the mid tide position.
You don't get any facilities here apart from some parking on the grass behind the beach and public toilets. It is in a regional park and it's completely undeveloped, there are no houses around here at all, but there are a few towns away to the west where you will be able to find places to stay, eat and drink or otherwise entertain yourself.
There are a couple of submerged rocks in the centre, quite close to the shore. Apart from those, just watch out for people walking on the beach.
